To develop a way of showcasing up to date social media content relevant to attendees of the annual Orange Business Live event
Solution:
The development of a system streaming updates from social media platforms including, Twitter and other related blogs
- Development of software to allow a constant feed of updates to be displayed to viewers
- Large television screens were placed in prominent locations to allow for the information to be easily viewed and accessible
- Screens were refreshed every 30 seconds to ensure that posts were updated
- Integration of data sources from Posterous, Orange Business site, Orange Business TV and Twitter and other relevant social media platforms
- Ability for users to comment and feedback
- A team of Live bloggers attended the event to comment, report, blog, interview and undertake social media activity
Results:
Attendees of the event were able to view a constant, live stream of relevant posts from platforms such as Twitter and other related blogs from anyone contributing across these platforms alongside feeds from the team of live bloggers that were onsite all day.
The event was attended by just 120 people but using the platform created by Organic a total of 40,503 individuals were engaged on Twitter alone generating the following statistics.
- 264 Tweets on the #OrangeBusinessLive hashtag
- 83 Retweets
- Reaching a total of 431,943 individuals
- 19,412 individuals viewed more than 7 Tweets
- In excess of 35 individual articles published
