Search Marketing

Search Marketing aims to increase the visibility of a website in the results listed on a page reached by a prospective customer using a search engine to find a supplier. The main methods of achieving this are Pay Per Click, search engine optimisation and paid inclusion. Pay Per Click is a form of paid inclusion where the advertiser literally pays for every click on the advertisement. Search Engine Optimisation or SEO involves a wide variety of techniques including the sprinkling of key words and phrases throughout the website content.

Paid inclusion involves paying the Search Engine ( usually an annual fee ) to feature one's site on the relevant search results page. Search Engines such as Google separate the paid inclusion results from the organically generated results.
